Atlas of the      Presented as a service of the American Medical Association. The AMA web site also includes information on medical ethics, public health issues, medical careers, and various diseases and medical conditions.

Center for Disease Control and Prevention:     "CDC serves as the national focus for developing and applying disease prevention and control, environmental health, and health promotion and education activities designed to improve the health of the people of the United States."  ---from CDC web site.   Good for "official" information on public health issues.

Evaluating Internet Health Information:  This tutorial is offered by the National Library of Medicine to help teach internet users to find the most trustworthy web sites for medical information.
